Hi friends,
I am really eager to come up with a tiger park where we can bring the numbers of the tigers up by ourselves. We can give the old tigers shlter & encourage the endangered to grow well.Even the ones abondoned from the circuses can be accomodated tere. The cubs can also feel protected in the park. This way atleast we can make an effort to preserve a beautiful animal like a tiger.Intersted friends do help and come forward.

Unless we protect and conserve the habitat where tigers can thrive, there is no way we can conserve tigers! While I think your idea is nice in theory, this will not benefits our wild tiger population. There are plenty of tigers in captivity - but they can't be released back in to the wild. So we should focus on conserving the Sundarban mangrove forest, the last remaining habitat for our tigers - and their only hope to survival!

Does STP or the MOE/FD have access to know-how, technology and facilities for artificial-breeding programs? In addition to conservation, we should not entirely rule out artificial-breeding as a flanking tiger-conservation strategy. If need be ...tigers should be taken out of the zoos and relocated to a Tiger-Park. And not unless there are a sustainable number of tigers in the wild - should zoos be allowed to encage tigers. Or else, children will soon be visiting the zoo museum to stare at a stuffed animal to find out what the Royal Bengal Tiger actually looked like ...
And please do let me know about artificial-breeding facilities and potential. I understand Save the Tigers Fund is not disbursing any funding towards this region at this point. Shouldn't we be looking for other avenues?
